You may have notice a bit of time has lapsed since the last "blog" post. Let me tell you why...
This blog was supposed to be a tool to drive search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is supposed to be the big thing for online marketing so we hired a marketing company to help us with that. They had somebody on staff that would maintain this blog for us, hence the fairly generic posts with lots of repetition of the store name and other key words. They stopped blogging and I have not made time for it.
Seeing "Blog" on our web site and it links to some old posts of questionable value I decided I should either remove the link or revive the blog. The link is still there. I question why anybody would want to read the thoughts of a 40 year old man who gets as excited as a kid on Christmas when UPS shows up with a load of fabric but I am hoping somebody does so I will continue to write.
I have this idea...If I write things that people want to read then they will share them with the nifty little share buttons that are readily available at the top of this post. If more people will visit the blog then I will have actual traffic on our web site instead of trying to convince Google's algorithms that because I said "fabric" 83 times in a post I must be an online fabric store worth visiting.
Feel free to discuss my post on our face book page and share them with your friends. If you are out there and want to read more, let me know, other wise I may start binge watching Vikings instead of "blogging".
